Les Kiss the Ireland defence coach let the cat out of the bag and said Williams is gone as of today. It's a bit of a shock to say the least.

Who'll take over? Jeremy Davidson is well placed since he's due to come in as forwards coach next season. An outside bet could be Ballynahinch coach Derek Suffern who's led the Co.Down team to AIL Division 1B and also 4 trophies this year (Ulster Senior League, Ulster Cup, AIL Cup and AIL Division 2 ***le).

Why? The man can do no wrong. Obviously the problem was that Ulster just weren't good enough and were never going to amount to much anyway...

...this is Mr William's probable view by the way..

Ah yes, how silly of me to doubt Sir Matt of William's infalable coaching abilities.

Ahhh feeling was the Ulster were on the up. He wasnt removed, he decided to go home. Family based in Sydney, he's here.

Supposedly they like him, but I havent a clue.

It seems as though he turned down a contract extension with Ulster to accept a role as assistant to Robbie Deans with the Wallabies through the end of the 2011 World Cup.
