Ian McGeechan will sign for Bath tomorrow

From Daily Telegraph:

Ian McGeechan to join Bath and work alongside Steve Meehan

Bath are to announce that Sir Ian McGeechan, the former Lions coach, has joined the club as part of an expanded management team to work alongside head coach Steve Meehan.

It is understood that McGeechan, who joins Bath after a five-month spell as a coaching consultant at Gloucester, will not be taking up a traditional position as director of rugby but will have broader off-field responsibilities.

Meehan, who is contracted at Bath until 2012, has operated without a director of rugby since he became head coach in the summer of 2006.

It is thought that McGeechan's new role will allow Meehan to concentrate solely on playing matters, with the 63-year-old Scot also acting as a sounding board for the head coach.

Awesome, awesome news. Will hopefully move 'us' onto the next level. This combined with the new headquarters and (fingers crossed) new stadium will help to attract some good players to the club too.

Good news for Bath for sure,
They had a great season last season, can only see them getting better

Massive signing that. Geech will also benefit the development of youngsters there.
