Name a bad film of year 2008!

As much as it pains me to say, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was pretty terrible. [/b]

I watched the new Indiana Jones movie yesterday and I honestly thought it to be the biggest pile of cack i've seen in a long time.

When I came out I thought I'd be a bit objective about it before coming to a conclusion, but now I've thought about it, even without the massive build up and the huge amount of expectation, it was a crap movie. Such a disappointment.

Agree 100% - The biggest pile of kack i've seen in ages - To be fair though, my heart was sinking after the first 5 minutes - there was one point where i nearly walked out! - I've only walked out of 1 movie previously....Batman and Robin.

I councur with the Indiana Jones bashing. I so wanted to like the film that I turned it every which way in my head but it still looks crap from every angle.

lolwut. I don't understand this IJ bashing. It's obviously only me that found it enjoyable. :S What did you not like about it?

i liked indiana jones

i like a lot of movies really i dont know how people can just say "oh that was ****" well if it was why do people spend 2 hours of their time watching them.. i just dont understand it. it seems to me a lot of people are just jumping on the bandwagon of hating indiana jones even though i gaurantee it kept you well entertained for the 2 hours you were sitting there watching it..

oh yea and i do like some parody movies

the original scary movie is a classic

In the last year, i'd say the 3 worst/most dissapointing films i have seen and why are:

1. Cloverfield. You have no idea what is going on, there is no plot and the actual viewing of it is very difficult. You can't see much, and the camera does not stay still enough. When i left i was confused and had a headache.

2. Premonition. This film just does not make sense. The paradox is so confusing, that although you get the plot after a short while, she causes the problem she has currently by causing the problem in real life, but then it wouldn't have happened at all, because it is her dream that causes it. Plus there is no ending.

3. Transformers. Not a bad film as such, but didn't do much to remind me of the days i used to adore it.

The best would be:

1. The Departed (great film!)
2. Golden Compass
3. Casino Royale

Totally agree with you on Cloverfield, Premonition, The Departed and Casino Royale Fa'atau.
Tranformers was ok I think, won't watch it twice though! And I haven't seen the Golden Compass yet, but will make an effort to see it now.

Also wanna add that the latest Hulk movie was very disappointing. Very predictable and just downright average.

How are you supposed to know if it's **** or not without watching it?

Cloverfield was pretty decent, very original and I didn't have a problem with the movement of the camera and understood the whole thing pretty decently....and the not knowing was sort of the point of the movie, reflecting the premise of simply watching a video camera, you are simply observing regular people in an extraordinary situation, not the cream of the crop awesome people that are in other movies, very good shiz....

I agree with you on this one BLR.

I really don't see what everyone is complaining about...the movie is the way it is because its supposed to be like that! If the movie was any more "normally" filmed then it would be of less quality then it is in its original form which as I have already said is what was attempted to be achieved and what was achieved. (Does that even make sense??)

Anyway, whilst it isn't exactly one of my favourite movies, I still enjoyed it and can appreciate it for being what it is because thats exactly what the producers/directors set out to do and they achieved it.

Story line is still crap though :p
Big ass lizard destroying a city (Godzilla??) doesn't really do it for me. I think I'll make a movie where the camera is always up side down. Now that's original! lol

The story line of a monster destroying a city is not the point of the movie, the point is to document how a relatively average person would react to a huge situation, whether it'd be a monster attack or terrorist attack. The camera helps make it reflect the aim to put you in the shoes of the people in the situation and the obscure way of telling the story reflects life perfectly. The possibilities of this method would be fantastic, imagine a war-time movie told through a single camera man during a single battle. Hell, imagine a movie filmed using one of those old timey WW2 colour films, bad quality and all, by a amateur film maker on one of the Polish border towns. Showing the confusion of such a relatively unexpected invasion from the view of one film-maker would be immense....

Different folks, different strokes. I enjoy watching films that gives the 3rd person perspective.

Have to say IJ was so crap I didn't even laugh. A friend of mine who's a huge IJ fan wanted to kill Lucas and Spielberg after watching it. There is just no scenario in it. And the Roswell stuff, come on !! Anyway, they screwed up BIG TIME. The Hulk movie is crap, I could tell by watching the trailer.
