In the front page blog you assume Johns was part of a "gang bag". The woman (as have others invloved in similar scandals across the code) involved has since spoken on a group interview style TV show, with the sole purpose of finding out the facts. This woman has provided us with some facts which are to the benefit of Johns.
FACT: The liason was over by the time team mates entered the room.
FACT: Johns sought her out in the Hotel's car park to apologize.
FACT: The NZ police are maintaining, as the have since 2002, that the case in closed. There was no criminal behavior involved, most importantly on Matthew John's behalf.
If you are going to run with this article and have Matthew Johns as your main target, learn the facts. How dare you put Johns in the same category of the others who are merely lowlife criminals with the gift of being able to play good footy.
It's almost chalk and cheese.

On the flip side, I'm absolutely disgusted with some of the incidents over the years.
Brett Stewart, the face of the NRL for season 2009 (before millions in advertising had to be scrapped after this incident) became intoxicated at a team function and was alleged to have sexually assaulted a minor.
At this same function, a thug by the name of Anthony Watmough, who has previously been charged with bashing his then partner, slapped a major team sponsor after insulting the sponsor's daughter. Watmough was an ambassador for the club. He was there to promote the club to sponsors and paying guests. However, he decided to indulge in his own self importance and delve back in to his thuggish ways.
How about the Bulldogs sex scandal in Coffs Harbour several years ago?
Even my beloved team the Broncos have had issues. Towards the end of season 2008, Darius Boyd, Karmichael Hunt and Sam Thaiday engaged in sexual activities with a woman in a toilet block outside of a pub/club whilst filming it. There was never any doubt from the start that it was consensual, but as soon as the filming began to occur, that is when they crossed the line.
The sad thing about many of these scandals is the same as it is in the case of the Broncos. Players engaged in consensual sex but can't seem to help themselves and cross the line; invite others in, film the encounter etc. Then there are the crimes of much less frequency, where full on rape is involved.
I'm sure everyone will agree that this needs to end.
In all seriousness, many of these Rugby League players should be content in picking up a good looking woman and participating 1 on 1. How about bringing the woman's friend along for a 3 some? Nothing wrong with that. But then they have to go that one step further, they can't help themselves. It's disgusting that these players insist on degrading the women by, unknowingly to the woman/women, inviting other team mates in to film or participate. That is the precise point when boundaries have been crossed and crimes are being perpetrated.
Tougher penalties need to be introduced.
People everywhere have been crying for better player education, but we all have to realise that half these players are incapable of education. Quite simply, some of them are stupid.
