What is the role of an Openside Flanker, in both attack and defence, and what is the ideal build for the position.

The openside is, ideally one of the fittest players on the pitch. In attack he is an important support runner. The 7 is always expected to be on hand to receive the offload and be first to the breakdown. A good openside will be an expert 'jackeler' which means he should be able to win a load of turn overs at the ruck. They're expected to make lots of tackles too. It takes high levels of fitness and work ethic to be a top-class 7 and the best in the world are Richie McCaw, Michael Hooper, Sam Cane, Sam Warburton, Steffon Armitage and my hero David Pocock.
