RTÉ's unrivalled team of rugby presenters, analysts and commentators will be on hand throughout the tournament with Ben Kay, Shane Horgan and Joe Schmidt joining regulars George Hook, Brent Pope, Conor O'Shea, Victor Costello and Frankie Sheahan for their expert analysis of all the action.

Tom McGurk and Daire O'Brien will anchor proceedings, while Hugh Cahill, Ryle Nugent, Donal Lenihan, George Hamilton, Tony Ward, Ralph Keyes and Kurt McQuilkin will provide the commentary.

RTÉ Television's coverage will include the live broadcast of 13 key matches, including all of Ireland's Pool matches, the Final, the Bronze Final, both semi-finals, all four quarter-finals and the opening match, all of which will also be simulcast and available for catch-up on RTÉ.ie


The Rugby World Cup will also be broadcast in HD in Ireland as RTÉ Television's live coverage of 13 key games is also available on RTÉ Two HD on SAORVIEW. In addition, all of Ireland's games will be broadcast exclusively live on RTÉ Radio.


S4C

S4C has announced its schedule for the 2011 Rugby World Cup to be held in New Zealand in September and October.

The Channel will broadcast a total of nine live matches â€" including every one of Wales’ games in the group stages and one match in each of the knockout stages.

S4C’s Cwpan Rygbi’r Byd 2011 coverage will also include the opening ceremony and the opening match between New Zealand and Tonga along with the Final and the Bronze play-off match for third place.

Live coverage of these matches in the mornings will be complemented by an evening highlights show on the same day.

This programme will include extended highlights of Wales’ matches, highlights of other games and a live discussion with a panel of experts. Viewers will be invited to make comments via a range of media including phone, text, Twitter â€" via the tag #rygbi - and Facebook, and ask the opinion of panel members.

S4C’s line-up will include presenters Gareth Roberts and Arthur Emyr, match commentators Wyn Gruffydd and Derwyn Jones, match analysis with Gwyn Jones and Brynmor Williams and additional analysis from Emyr Lewis and Jonathan Davies.

A new face for S4C, presenter Carys Davies will be joining the presentation team for the evening programme and she will be responsible for passing on reaction and questions from the Welsh rugby public to the panel.

There will also be reports from a Southern Hemisphere perspective from Delyth Morgan, the former Wales rugby international now living in New Zealand.

S4C’s rugby-related coverage will include a special series of the popular entertainment show Jonathan. Jonathan Davies and the team will preview each of Wales’ matches and the knockout rounds in their own inimitable, humorous style.

The live match coverage will include special previews and post-match reports and interviews from the Welsh camp, as the Wales national side face South Africa, Fiji, Samoa and Namibia in Pool D.

In addition, there will be on-line reports from inside the Welsh camp on the S4C website - s4c.co.uk/rugby. This is provided in conjunction with the Welsh Rugby Union.

The website will also feature daily video blogs â€" with contributions by the presenters, players and coaching staff - highlights from each of Wales’ matches, and a video round up of each group. This is in addition to game fixtures, player and presenter profiles and a live feed of the presenters’ latest Twitter updates.

S4C will have live coverage of Wales v South Africa from Wellington Regional Stadium on 11 September, Wales v Samoa from Waikato Stadium, Hamilton on 18 September, Wales v Namibia from Stadium Taranaki, New Plymouth on 26 September and Wales v Fiji from Waikato Stadium, Hamilton on 2 October.

The Quarter-finals are scheduled for 8 and 9 October, the Semi-finals for 15 and 16 October, the Bronze Final for 21 October and the Final from Eden Park, Auckland on 23 October.



TF1, France Television and Canal + welcome the agreement that the three groups just signed for the exploitation of broadcasting rights for the Rugby World Cup 2011 IRB. As part of this agreement, the TF1 Group, exclusive rights holder of the World Cup Rugby 2011, surrender to France Television and Canal + part of its rights, including the live broadcast of 28 of the 48 matches of the competition.

Broadcaster of the biggest sporting events, TF1 broadcast his fifth Rugby World Cup, the group will propose an expanded editorial coverage around a 360 exclusive offers (TV, Internet, mobile phones, tablets and catch-up TV) allowing viewers to live the entire event on all the antennas and multimedia group (TF1, Eurosport, LCI and TF1.FR).

As such, TF1 will broadcast live and exclusive, 20 matches of the Rugby World Cup 2011, with large posters of the group matches, including three meetings of the XV of France and two quarter-finals (those involving teams from hen the XV of France). From the semifinals, TF1 broadcast exclusively the entire matches: semi-finals, match for third place and the final. TF1 will also offer live and exclusive the opening, closing and the trophy.

In parallel, the TF1 group welcomes the agreement that allows it to radiate this event over the entire supply chain of editorial group and thus offer the entire Rugby World Cup:

- On TF1: in addition to matches, the chain will offer special pages in the 13h and 20h of JT, with a rise ahead of the event. During the competition, a magazine dedicated TF1 offer around the games.

- On Eurosport viewers will experience the entire event with 48 matches postponed and a daily talk show live at 22:30.

- On LCI: the event will be available in red thread on all the appointments of the antenna. The news channel of the group will also offer a weekly, live every Monday.

- On TF1.FR: the group will propose a web site dedicated to the event bringing together the strength of EUROSPORT editorial. FR and the power of the platform TF1.FR around an exclusive offer: 20 games broadcast on TF1 simulcast video, 48 games in catch-up and full-text, video content new and follow-up editorial enriched. The Rugby World Cup will also be available on MyTF1, Smartphones and tablet.


France Television (France 2 / France 3) and Canal + will broadcast in turn 28 matches live and exclusive, including a match of the XV of France in the group stage (France / Tonga on Saturday 1st October) and two quarter-finals.
