Paris get their HEC campaign underway with the added incentive this season of having the final in the Stade de France. They've started poorly domestically but with the change in coaches and the thrashing of Brive prior to getting a draw away to Toulouse maybe they'll feel they've turned a corner and their season can really start again with the visit of Edinburgh.

Having started brightly Edinburgh have gone off the boil slightly with 2 defeats on the bounce. Edinburgh will be boosted by the return of Paterson and Ford but will still be up against it on Saturday afternoon.

Paris: tbc

Edinburgh: Chris Paterson, Mark Robertson, Ben Cairns, John Houston, Tim Visser, Phil Godman, Mike Blair (capt), Allan Jacobsen, Ross Ford, Geoff Cross, Craig Hamilton, Scott MacLeod, Alan MacDonald, Roddy Grant, Allister Hogg.

Replacements: Andrew Kelly, Kyle Traynor, Ryan Grant, Steven Turnbull, Scott Newlands, Greig Laidlaw, Nick De Luca, Steve Jones.

Hugo Southwell will line up against his former side but there's no place for Simon Taylor (don't think he's injured but could be wrong). That pack though does look extremely impressive.

Paris: 15. Hugo Southwell, 14. Julien Arias, 13. Guillaume Bousses, 12. Geoffroy Messina, 11. Mark Gasnier, 10. Lionel Beauxis, 9. Julien Dupuy, 1. Rodrigo Roncero, 2. Dimitri Szarzewski, 3. Sylvain Marconnet, 4. Tom Palmer, 5. Pascal Papé, 6. James Haskell, 7. Antoine Burban, 8. Sergio Parisse

16. Mathieu Blin, 17. Damien Weber, 18. David Attoub, 19. Arnaud Marchois, 20. Benjamin Kayser, 21. Noel Oelschig, 22. Mirco Bergamasco, 23. Ollie Phillips,

Simon Taylor is still injured. He has not played yet this season.

SF Paris to win this game by 15 or more.

Exactly like the Ospreys match we conceed a couple of soft tries and we're out of it before we can settle into the game.

was just about to say you're coming into the game a bit more, but we've just seen the difference, Paris just much more clinical with their possession. Bonus point secured.

...and thats the bonus point. Beauxis under the posts 28-0 after half an hour.

4th try now. This is pathetic. Seriously seriously pathetic. No control what so ever. Stade haven't had to do anything.

Stade kick off in the first half, there are 3 Burgh players around it, Macleod who is running backwards catches it and collides headfirst into Hogg who was in a better position to catch it. Stade push over and turnover possession.

Absolutely no organisation.

It's made all the more frustrating because when we have the ball we're actually making breaks. But a lack of organisation and accuracy at the breakdown means the ball is flying out of rucks and scrums (usually into Stade hands).

The wheels are coming off the Edinburgh wagon. After a promising start to the season, they've been whupped in their last two games and are on a 3 game losing streak. Lose to Ulster next week and it could prove a very long season for them.
