Potential Postponement of Six Nations

Surely its gone beyond the point where any border controls between France and UK will have any effect at all .France had over 20,00 new cases on saturday, so any French club playing in UK isn't any different from playing in France.

TBH the crowds give the 6N the majority of its flavour. Without them it's all a bit so what and I'm fairly indifferent whether it goes ahead or not.

Newcastle manager Steve Bruce was saying the other day that while he understood the financials, morally he didn't think it was right for football to be carrying on at the moment and there will be many thinking similarly about other sports.

far more important things to worry about, as much as I love the 6N , postpone or cancel until it is safe to go and watch them.

I'll be amazed if we have crowds this year much like the Lions you might in the Autumn get a nominal amount but we won't be seeing full stadia until next year I suspect.

So the choice is no rugby or empty stadiums. Honestly I'd rather have the rugby.

to me the 6 N is more than just rugby, I meet up with old friends , travel to at least 1 away game every year, see every home game , on tv it could be any game , I am probably in a small minority on this , but it is how I feel .

I agree cancel it. Can't go to the stadium, can't watch it in the pub and it isn't the same with no crowds. Prem rugby gets away with it but I can't see 6N doing so

I agree, club rugby has been okay on TV for a night on the sofa. Internationals are a different thing

if that is without crowds ,is it worth it?
There isn't going to be crowds if it occurs in Febuary/March its not even a remote possibility.

To the question of is it worth it? Honestly for me yes I need a breakup of what lockdown and this entire situation is. I've barely left my home since last March and haven't socialised with friends since then. Rugby isn't tied to my social life at all a few friends enjoy it as much I do but its rarely been a social thing for me, its what me and my Dad bond over and as I've barely lived with him since 2003 we generally talk at half and full time for international matches during and since that world cup (it coincided with me going to Univeristy for the first year).

I appreciate for some people thats not what rugby is about and that cool, however considering the other option is essentially it doesn't happen as its unlikely to have crowds anytime this year. Everyone can get over themselves and not watch it whilst those of who will still enjoy to some extent can have something rather than nothing.

@ncurd makes some good points. I suspect I'll watch the Eng games and maybe selected others but I can't pretend I'll be remotely as enthused as normal.

Then again if games are down to the standard of Wal v Sco in the last 6N or any Eng game in the Autumn I might not bother at all. I don't like no crowds but that's where we are at the moment.....pair that with crap rugby though and you're on a loser. It's a forlorn hope, but these are extraordinary times and just for once it would be nice if teams could see the bigger picture and throw off the shackles to entertain the fans who have supported them royally in the past and will do again in the future. I'm not normally of that mindset but right now a 38 - 38 draw full of mayhem would lift my spirits far more than a boot dominated dour 12 - 9 win.

I'm alright with no fans tbh,
As above: it's not ideal but something is better than nothing.

That said - only if it can be held safely, and with proper bubbling etc.
Don't want cancelled matches

Looks like it will at least start on time.
