hey there, i was having a look at some players and i thought i could be able to show you a potential team that scotland could have.

1.) Pek Cowan (brother of Blair Cowan who have a scottish mother)
2.) Ross Ford (very effective back in the lions days)
3.) WP Nel (if he keeps playing in scotland he could be in the scotland jersey one day)
4.) Richie Gray (dont know any other second rows)
5.) Tom Parmer (studied at Boroughmuir High School in Edinburgh so if he had stayed in scotland he could have been in the scotland jersey)
6.) Cornell Du Preez (like WP Nel if could be in the scotland jersey if he stays in edinburgh)
7.) John Barclay (think he's a good player)
8.) David Denton (has to be there)
9.) Brendan McKibbin (born in Irvine in scotland so perfectly able to play for scotland)
10.) Tommaso Allan (played most his rugby in scotland so should be playing for scotland anyway)
or Quade Cooper ( i dont know about him but since him and Sean Maitland are cousins they might have the same grandparents who are scottish so....)
11.) Tim Visser (a very good winger)
12.) Matt Scott ( yep)
13.) Alex Dunbar (impressive in the six nations)
14.) Sean Maitland (good winger hoping to get into more action into scotland soon)
15.) Stuart Hogg (definitely scotland best fullback atm)

if i had missed anyone out please let me know i just wanted to see the potential the scotland team could have

def. gotta appreciate that back three there with Visser+Maitland+Hogg. Good stepping from all three, and good pace. Hogg is yet another fantastic fullback in the world atm. I'm just not very familiar with those two wingers under the high ball.

visser idk but i would have thought as since maitland can play fullback im sure he'll be good i seen him making some catches at fullback

Er here's my Scotland XV plus other players that should be in the squad, but I tried to avoid as many players that qualify through residence as possible.
1. Reid, Grant, Dickinson
2. MacArthur, Ford, Bryce
3. Cross, Welsh
4. J. Gray, Gilchrist
5. R. Gray, Swinson
6. Strokosch, Harley, Brown
7. Barclay, Fusaro, Cowan
8. Denton, Beattie
9. Cusiter, Hart, Pyrgos
10. Russell, Heathcote, Weir
11. Seymour, Visser
12. Scott, Horne
13. Dunbar, Bennett
14. Maitland, Fife, Lamont
15. Hogg, Murchie, Tonks.

I think that Scotland does have a pretty decent team and quite a lot of potential, I just hope that Cotter can bring it out in them.

That is some wonderful lateral thinking.

that is a good promising squad there, but what i mean't as in a potential scotland team is a team with players who could have played for scotland but play's for a different nations eg. Tommaso Allan etc.

Brendan McKibbin is not eligible. He was an unused replacement for Australia in the match against Wales, in 2012.

IRB regulation 8.3 (a)

He is selected for such team to play in an International Match against the senior fifteen-a-side National Representative Team or the next senior fifteen-a-side National Representative Team of another Union (or in a fifteen-a-side international Match against another Union’s senior or next senior Touring Squad during an IRB approved International Tour) and is present at the Match played by that team either as a replacement, substitute or a playing member of that team and has, at the time of the Match, reached the age of majority; or

Kieran Read spent 80 minutes in Scotland in 2009 in order to play a test match against them. If he had only visited the tourist shop on Princes' Street and purchased a novelty kilt and a bottle of whiskey, he would be starting 8 and captain.

nonono i know these guys are never going to play for scotland but what im doing what in the loose did with what the Zimbabwe rugby team could look like but with scotland

I know, I'm messing. Surprised the English haven't got one claiming George North, Jonathan Davies, Dan Lydiate and the rest of the Welsh side that don't have English links are theres because Wales' basically just a village in Gloucester anyway.
