Premiership Rugby to be Shown on Channel 5

Looking at the effect moving to Sky had on viewing figures for cricket is interesting. The numbers watching the Ashes on Channel 4 were huge:

I'm really interested in seeing what the viewing figure will be like.

They'll screw it up.

I don't know why but commercial terrestrial TV channels just never seem to do a good job of live sport coverage (see ITVs coverage of the 6N - e.g. adverts between the anthems and KO, just awful).
Plus they don't have enough games to learn from their mistakes and get well practiced.

Highlights show was basically identical to how it's been for the last few years on ITV with Mark Durden-Smith & David Flatman.

Not that I think that's a bad thing. If it ain't broke & all that.
