This is it....the very last match of the season and it is between Mont-de-Marsan and Agen.

The two clubs, steeped in history and suppliers of famous French internationals in days gone by, from the far South West of France!

Stade Montois' ex-players include the Boniface brothers (André and Guy, who died in a car accident on Jan. 1, 1968), Thomas Castaignède, Christian Darrouy, Benoît Dauga, Laurent Rodriguez whilst Agen's roll of honour includes the likes of Albert Ferrasse, Cédric Heymans, Thierry Labrousse, Bernard Lacombe, Pierre Lacroix, Christophe Lamaison, Guy Basquet, Abdelatif Benazzi, Philippe Benetton, Pierre Berbizier, Christian Califano, David Couzinet, Jean-Jacques Crenca, Marc Dal Maso, Daniel Dubroca, and Pépito Elhorga

It will be a nervous day for both sets of supporters with Agen, doing the double in the regular season (beating MdM at home 28-9 and away 9-11), being the slight favourites.

Winner takes the second place, behind Pau, for relegation and the very best of luck to both teams - both in this match and for next season!!

Great shame for M de Mbut a great final all the same M de M had the conversion to win the game but he missed the joys and tears of sport so it will be prunes on toast next season and a bout of Euro Challenge rugby although i must admit we do not deserve much more!!!!!!!
