So going into the final weekend 4 teams, Biarritz, Leinster, Llanelli and Munster, have already secured their places in the knockout stages while another 6, Castres, Leicester, Ospreys, Paris, Sale and Wasps, battle it out for the remaining 4 spots. Pool 1 Wasps sit top going into the final round of matches but in a vulnerable position as Castres sit 4 points behind them as the two sides clash at the Stade Pierre Antoine this Saturday. Wasps will qualify if: A - They win B - They draw C - They lose but get a bp D - They lose but Castres don't get a try bp Castres only have 1 way of qualifying, by winning with a try bp and denying Wasps a losing bp in the process. Pool 2 Leinster have already qualified as pool winners but a win away to Gloucester should secure a home draw for the Irish province, whereever that may be played. Pool 3 By securing their last minute draw in Swansea Paris go into the final round knowing they'll top the pool regardless of events elsewhere if they beat Calvisano at home with a try bp, should be a formality for Galthié's outfit. But here's where it gets interesting the other match sees the Ospreys travel to Sale with both ideally gunning a win and a try bp. For Sale that's their only chance of qualifying while for the Ospreys a win will be enough if Munster deny Leicester a losing bp and one of Castres/Wasps don't finish on 20 points, should both finish on 20 points then the Ospreys will need the try bp to avoid a countback on tries with Castres. Pool 4 Munster and Leicester battle it out at Thomond Park for the top spot in Pool 4. It will be Munster's last game at Thomond Park until 2009 so I don't think there's any chance that they'll lose their record in this game and with the chance to knock out Leicester and make the defence of their ***le that little bit easier than I'm sure they'll be gunning to deny them the losing bp as well. Pool 5 The Scarlets wrapped up this group with their emphatic win over Ulster in atrocious conditions on Saturday. A win and a try bp will give them a home quarter final against one of the best runners up. Pool 6 Biarritz travel to Northampton knowing that they can become the first team to go through the pool stages with maximum points. Northampton's try difference has them pretty secure for a quarter final spot, provided the Ospreys don't get maximum points and Munster and Leicester don't draw, in that case they could go out unless they can secure a losing bp themselves. A win for Northampton by 4 tries will see them top the pool provided they deny Biarritz a losing bp, any other circumstance and Biarritz top the pool.
