Hey there!

Just a quick question. How comes all the Premiership teams always name their squads for league matches the Friday before the match (or Thursday if the match is on Friday)?

squads named one or two days before isnt it? i thought they did this to allow the squad to train and then from the training they picked the 23
and to allow enough time for this to happen they name the team the day before the game

I don't know how this works in the Magners League, but in the Premiership the squad is always named on a Thursday or Friday.

It's exactly as Conal said.
Gives them time to assess performances and any injuries from the match before, and see who's shining in training.
