A move that might have important consequences in both Romanian and European Tier 2 rugby: Octavian Morariu has resigned from the position of President of the Romanian Olympic Committee (COSR). Morariu was is also a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and head of FIRA-AER. He said he is resigning from COSR because he wants to have more time for his IOC and FIRA-AER duties. This could be good news for FIRA-AER. Morariu is a competent and forward-thinking administrator, who managed the very hard task of reviving Romanian rugby from the brink of total collapse.
