Its now become blatantly obvious that the axing of Ronan O Gara from the Irish panel was to facilitate Brian O Driscoll becoming the most capped Irish rugby player.

Rugby politics stink and its the loyal supporters who suffer, even at 36 O Gara is Sextons rightful replacement when injured and should never have been dropped from the panel but was forced to resign by the IRFU's mean spirited agenda.

I agree with you, the again political premature dropping of O Gara for Sexton cost Irish rugby a lot of silverware, had O Gara been left in his rightful match starting position Ireland could have easily earned two more grand slam victories in the years following their 2009 high.
