Rory Kockett French pronounciation

I noticed on the end of year tours, when France played, that Rory Kockett's name which is supposed to sound like Kockit, was pronounced Kocko. Was that intentional by the commentators since he is now officially a french player, or what is a mistake ?

Probably just a mistake given how the French don't pronounce t's at the end of words

Yep, we pronounce it cocott, same as you do I think (well as far as you are english). For all SH way of pronouncing, I don't know, but I do not remember Kiwies and Aussies being so different. They are not americans !!!

Anyway, the best thing with this guy is his accent ! What a joke ;-) it is really a shame for you all that you do not speak proper French. He does speak with a mix between english and south west france accent ! Making it absolutly fantastic ! A bit like if a player would speak english with a mix of french and scottish accent !

No, it depends on what is the word ... We sometimes pronounce the t's ... That's why french is so complicated !!!
