This week sees a bit of movement round the middle of the table, with few changes at either end,

1 Crusaders (=)
Still waiting on Dan Carter to get back to form, and Richie McCaw to be match fit. They're chugging along nicely though, and a have an easier game this week against the Rebels. Their run home isn't bad at all, and should see them finish top of the NZ conference.

2 Chiefs (=)
Rested a few players this week and paid for it. Sure, they still earned 5 points, but they conceded 3 tries (their most in one match this season) and may have lost a bit of momentum. This week against the Reds will be a great litmus test, and the Chiefs should relish the sunny match in Brisbane.

3 Stormers (=)
Had their second bye of the season, which means they can go all out in the next few weeks before the June break.

4 Bulls (=)
Banked 5 points against an oddly strong Rebels team. Surpassed the Stormers on the table, but ultimately the winner of this conference will probably come down to who wins their next match.

5 Sharks (=)
Lambie's Sharks managed to continue their winning run against the Highlanders in Durban. As noted in the past, their run in is probably the easiest of any team in the competition. If they improve on their latest performance they have a good chance of grabbing back that last WC spot.

6 Highlanders (=)
Lost a few more players to injury, and had passages of average play. If they can get over their jet lag and win against the Hurricanes they should come right again.

7 Brumbies (=)
Would've moved up a place after thumping the Waratahs, but have lost Lealiifano for the rest of the season.

8 Reds (+1)
Came close in Chch against the 'Saders. With young guns like Gill and older heads like Horwill, they stand in good stead to challenge the Brumbies for that top Oz spot.

9 Hurricanes (+1)
Depth will still prove problematic should injuries strike, but their attack is second to none with super counter attackers scattered throughout the team.

10 Waratahs (-2)
A very average team performing very averagely.

11 Cheetahs (+1)
Eberhosn did fine in Goosen's place, and should allow the Cheetahs to scrape another win or two this season.

12 Blues (-1)
The less said about the Blues the better.

13 Force (=)
Almost snatched victory away from the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein. They haven't got very strong backs, but their forwards are doing lots of good work.

14 Rebels (=)
Look much better with Beale at first five - looks like that's where he'll be in the June tests too.

15 Lions (=)
If any team gives way for the Kings next season, it will be the Lions. Unless of course they amalgamate... Lion Kings anyone?
