After retiring from the NRL this year, Ruben Wiki has called it quits after rejecting offers to play abroad in the Super League. He played his final game on Sunday for the All Golds against the Maori in New Plymouth.

He holds the world record of 55 International Rugby League test caps with 18 of those as Captain as well as hold the record for most NRL games by a New Zealander (312).

Wiki started his career against South Sydney on June 13 1993 at Bruce Stadium with the Canberra Raiders in the centres along side the likes of league legends Laurie Daily, Mal Meninga and Ricky Stuart, and has since cemented his place among those players as a true champion of the game.

Congratulations on an awe inspiring and stellar career :bravo:

That really is a pity, the guy was an awesome player and like the face of the club togther with the toki logo ( or how is it called)

Saw him play so nice games.

Whish him all the best for the future.

Fitting he scored a 70m try as his last act in his career lol

jake the muss!!!

wiki is without doubt one of the greats of the game. hopefully he gets involved at the warriors in some role as he could definitely pass on a lot to the younger guys.

One of the few RL players I actually heared before getting into RL!

Oh and one of the clubs that were desperate to get him in the SL were none other than the Celtic Crusaders!
