Rugby 2008 tips for absolute rookies

I'm the rookie - I wish I had the tips for you. I enjoyed the "Advanced Tips" thread but it looks like I'm reading a different language.

Are there some "basic tips" we should focus on the first few months of rugby life? This might even include which buttons to push in a certain situation, or a clip on youtube to demonstrate what it should look like. Maybe one defensive strategy to master, one set piece, etc.

I've never seen a match before, just some clips on youtube. I'm surprised there isn't more information for Rugby 06 or 08 on the internet since this is such a popular sport worldwide.

Thanks for any help!!
welcome mate :) yeah pity there arnt any clips or anything around.

there is a whole game somewhere that i recorded from a couple of our members, ill see if i can find that and post it up

**** i was meant to make a dvd version for the guys...

its all from http://www.therugbyforum.com/index.php?sho...mp;hl=tornament thread :)

other than that just practice. Keep in in close for a bit then spread it wide. If your just learning play percentage rugby. Kick for territory etc, you will get pretty good pretty quick.
