Rugby Boots

Hello,

I have a pair of metal rugby boots and a pair of plastic molds. Is it bad to use my metal rugby boots on more firm/hard ground? I play flanker so I like to wear metal studs so I can compete at rucks, but is it bad for the soles of my foot to wear them on firm/hard ground?

in my experience yes, when playing club i wore full studs one pre-season, physio checked me out after a week or so and told be i'd popped two discs in my back, nothing that couldn't be fixed but delayed my start to the season as was a front rower. go with the moldies on a hard pitch
