Trials have just begun on the new version of League for Sonyâ€™s portable PSP. While PSP graphics look great, the smaller screen means simpler games and a lower cost to create a game. Wellingtonâ€™s Sidhe has been quick to exploit this trend, and is in the advanced stages of creating a PSP version of its Rugby League PlayStation game.Sidhe is also developing an original PSP title, a stunt-driving, puzzle-solving effort called Gripshift. Others, like Dunedinâ€™s Starlight Studios, are following suit. Wynands says Gripshiftâ€™s development costs will amount to just a fraction of those for a console or PC game.
