Venue: Stadio Riviera della Palme
Time: 18:25 CAT (SA, GMT+2)

For some reason, this match is the only match I can watch before the actual RWC starts... Obviously, I'm gonna watch it, but come ON, American streaming sports, get with it!

This match will be streamed live on ESPN+ and also replayed afterwards.

Definitely not an expert but that looks about as strong as it gets. Guess both teams desperate for some winning form.

Surprised at no Benvenuti, Ireland essentially won the game scoring twice when he was off the field for an HIA IIRC?

Hope Braley goes well, deserves more time.

I watched it on ESPN+, but they didn't have any play by play commentary which was odd. Italy won the match, 85-15. Did Russia just start playing this sport? ;)

If that's Russia's best lineup, they could get walloped by Ireland, Japan and even Scotland.

You have to worry about Russia if this was their best team. Pity Spain and Romania ruled themselves out, either would probably make much more of an impression on the tournament.

Scotland face Japan four days after Russia and there was a concern over the short turnaround before facing a well rested Japan. This is good news in terms of resting key players before what could well be a winner takes all final group game.

Much more indeed.
