Yeah I can now see why you would have thought that, I would never advocate dangerous tackling, what's more surprising to me though is that Faz keeps doing it he has been slated for it countless times if there is a player that needs to be squeaky clean, it's Him, I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if it ends up costing England a game or at-least heavily influencing the outcome.

I read a post earlier on this thread and it had 2 likes and 1 dislike and i thought who would dislike this post that much....turns out it was bloody me accidentally disliked it when i had no intention of either like or dis haha. It happens.
 
Apparently only Nowell and Mako are unavailable for this game - but both are back in full training now.

That's good news if true! Would it be too much to hope that both get some time off the bench vs. USA if they are in full training now? Assuming everyone else is fit I think it's key that Slade gets a run out asap, as he has looked much better in England shirt once he has a few games under his belt. If he doesn't hit the ground running, I'd expect Ford, Faz, Manu to be our go-to midfield for crunch games.
 
You would imagine EJ will want to see the Manu-Slade partnership in action ASAP. I expect them to both start V Tonga.
 
Where is JJ considered in all this, is Slade considered first choice unless the Ford/Faz axis is being used?

Agree with that 100%. Before i thought should get all the gametime he can but physicality of tonga could be too soon. Same with wilson and big joe as they both had knocks.

Although id want to see faz manu slade and manu to play the bigger games when does he get a rest?

Against USA as Francis and Slade can come in. The way I've worked it no player plays the full 160 mins for the two games and the injured players get a few more days recovery whilst still having a strong side against Tonga and USA
 
Happy to have Ford - Francis - JJ (with Slade at 22 and Tuilagi at 23) for Tonga. Then Faz - Francis - Slade (with JJ and Nowell on the bench) for the first two games. Gets our injured men up to speed, Tuilagi and both fly-halves get a run out. On field 10 cover, and Slade.

Hate to be arrogant, but we don't need specialist wing or FB cover in the first two games so I would focus on fitness for those that need it :)
