I will go on record as saying Smith isn’t and shouldn’t be a 15, this is not a top 10 nation so I will reserve judgement but he looks better there than id expected although he needs to be seen there under more pressure with high balls etc.

They are the lowest ranked side in the WC, what we are doing now is the least we should expect.Lots of negativity on this forum…decent first half from England
The former, I'm very firmly in the camp that players should be in England to play for England
I do think it'll be better for Arundell's development that he just has a season solely focusing on his rugby at Racing, though, with no jetting back and forth just to hold tackle bags for England
Marchant is a loss, but there's a decent amount of young centres knocking about we could look at these days
Ribbans isn't a loss (decent but replaceable, he's 4th choice so there's plenty in contention for that role)

A team with that many changes is always going to look a bit disjointed, but flip me, we were rank bad in the first 20. Much better after that and a couple of players having decent games (Dan and Smith). It is the minimum expectation vs. Chile mind you.

I wouldn’t say really awful..it’s sometimes the case in matches like these when teams are expected to win that it takes a bit of time to establish dominance

I underestimated how much Chile would tire in the physical challenge. 0 points conceded in the first 19mins, 31 conceded in the next 21. Pure fatigue.
