Preview: Sale Sharks v London Wasps

Sale have won three of their last four encounters with Wasps, whilst the Londoners have not tasted victory at Edgeley Park since a 27-25 win on 25 March 2005.

Sale Sharks have now secured back to back victories in the Guinness Premiership, over Gloucester and Leeds. The Sharks have won their last three matches at Edgeley Park in all competitions since London Irish won there, 11-8, in the Premiership on 2 October.

London Wasps have slipped to successive defeats in the Guinness Premiership, against Leeds and Saracens. Wasps have won two of their last three away matches in the Premiership, the reversal being 16-28 at London Irish on 27 September.

Referee: David Rose (73rd Premiership game)

Hopefully we can continue our winning streak (beating the team thats last in the premiership twice in a row counts as a streak, right?)
We've been playing quite well during the AIs, so hopefully the Internationals coming back won't disturb things too much
That's the best team they could field, with Sheridan out and Peel off with Wales (though i do rate Wigglesworth, at club level), though i may have started Gaskell

So, Sale and the ref want to play but Wasps refuse so the game is postponed.

Looks like the old loophole tactics of Wasps strikes again...

:huh:
What did they expect?
A field, after it's been raining a fair bit, for a fair few days, is muddy...amazing.

"Dangerous conditions" is the term the GP site uses to describe it :wacko:
Wonder when it'll be played now

I spy with my little eye a lot of ****** of rugby fans on the Sports Network;

Let's see just how deep the RFU corruption really runs, especially after the dealing around the Quins fixture earlier this year. And especially, the frozen pitch fiasco at Causeway 2 years ago when the groundsman "forgot" to turn it on...

And, if anyone here has ever been to Edgley park, you'll know just how bad it normally is.

Looks dandy to me...

In fact so happy were they that the match looked likely to be postponed that six takeaway pizzas were suddenly procured from somewhere - and that was before the match was even officially postponed at 7.59pm.[/b]
