Samoa V New Zealand July 8th 2015

Maybe we will carry 3 halfbacks through the pool stages and bring in another player come the knock outs.

You can't do that unless you have a genuine injury to one of them (genuine as in certified by the iRB's doctor)

There isn't much point bringing in another player for the knockouts anyway. In the KO games you just pick your best team. Whoever you brought in wouldn't be in your best team and if they were they would be in the squad already. Also if you replace a player then they can't come back. If you send your 3rd best halfback home then if there is an injury you would be needing your 4th best halfback (currently Ellis) to come into the side.

Unless, maybe you have a spate of injuries to one specialist position, such as 1st five, but that would never happen, would it ;)

I know its old but so happy this game was played. Pretty much everything I said last year on this forum (and was heavily debated), it was good to hear it echoed by not only the Samoan people but the players from both the Manu and ABs as well as the AB coaching staff whom are just fantastic. Awesome for the ABs to acknowledge the Polynesians positive impact on NZ Rugby and vice versa.

Thank you All Blacks.

Yeah they only real downside was the massive financial loss suffered by Samoa.

I dont think most of us really care. We're kind of use to money problems with our Rugby team not that's accepted. Most of us choose to see the happy side of things and money isnt always that.

...Samoa all but beat SA at the last RWC...this year they will go one better

Hope you didn't waste too much money on betting Samoa beating the Boks. Should have predicted Japan beating them instead; you would have won a heck of a lot more. If only you had a copy of Marty McFly's sports Almanac.:D

Funnily enough when the scores were close at half time in the game against Japan I put some money on the Japs while they were paying $15 dollars for the win...not much hope now for Samoa and Fiji though with better sides looking to progress...a bit like England really - but where there is life, there is hope....btw what is the Marty McFly's sports Almanac?
