Certainly think with that sort of squad we have a great chance of being successful in the six nations. Hogg is simply world class and one of the top 3 or 4 backs in the world, Finn creates so many try scoring chances through his creative kicking, Visser is a try scoring machine as is Seymour when on form and Maitland has been in great form at Saracens. Huw Jones has had a sensational 1st year as a Scotland player scoring 7 tries in his first 11 appearances at Centre ( 3 against Australia, 2 against England and 1 against the all-blacks ) and now that he has moved from South Africa to Glasgow he should form a formidable centre partnership with the impressive Alex Dunbar.

Peter Horne will make such a difference from the bench - he has been phenomenal for the warriors especially at fly-half but also at centre and can play with (torture) tired opposition in the 2nd half from either position and that is something we have been missing for a long time - backs on the bench who can change the game.

Scotland have went up a level since Laidlaw's injury resulting in Price getting the chance he always deserved. Price is exceptionally quick at getting the ball out to our backs and does not slow down our play like Laidlaw and is a far greater passer of the ball.

We are also strong in the back row with players like Strauss, Wilson, Hamish Watson and John Barclay too choose from and that's not even including Luke Hamilton who has excelled in both the Top 14 in France and the Aviva Premiership in England and could force himself into the starting line-up by the end of the tournament if he replicates the form he has shown at domestic level.

Johnny and Richie Gray are such fantastic locks and then you also you have Ben Toolis who was fantastic in the summer and Autumn during Richie's absence. Stuart McInally was the man of the Autumn series and has definitely pushed himself ahead of Brown and Ford in the pecking order.

Fagerson was excellent during his 1st Six Nations and Marfo was our standout prop during the autumn then you also have Del, Nel, Berghan Bhatti and Gordon Reid who have made a case for selection.

We actually for the first time in a long time have strength in depth in so many positions and that is what gives us a chance in the six nations to do something amazing next year.
