Has anyone got any advice/idea on improving my screw kick? also any ideas on how to improve the distance i can kick?

thanks v. much

for distance, work on your leg strength and fitness and spend a lot of time on your own or with a mate kicking the ball to eachother. practise makes perfect

I make sure that I have my hand on the top of the ball, and have the ball pointing on a 45* angle inward. Then I point the toe, and kick through the ball, transferring all my weight through the foot by 'hopping' on the back leg.

teaching someone to kick is pretty tough, and nearly impossible merely by typing online.. find someone who has a good boot, ask them to teach you their form, and then just kick ALL THE TIME.. i have a decent boot, and when people ask how i kick so well, i say "a decade of soccer," because that's how long it took.. biggest issue: not bringing your foot back far enough to get a good amount of power built up before you hit the ball..

what's a screw kick(torpedo kick)
Is it a grubber?an up and under? a drop kick?a punt kick?

I think, could be wrong, that its a punt but the ball spins through the air similarly to how a passed ball would spin.

you're right... torpedo, spiral punt kick, screw kick... all the same

i listened to that video still can't do it lol... but i think i'm not kicking through the middle... i do it better when i just use the side of my foot
