[QUOTE="sanzar, post: 197414"] I have a better question: Why did you ever give a ****? You say you're over it now, but you must have made at least 2 dozen references to it over the season. Fact was it's a sport column, not exactly the traditional home of 'fair and balanced journalism' (and bloody hell BLR, wake the f*** up on this one, 'journalistic integrity' barely exists even in REAL news now) and half the **** came out in the off season when bullshit rules. Bottom line was that if a story is not true and it doesn't involve any serious defamation like child pornography, then who f***ing cares? Ultimately, the only thing the whole thing really did was put the Force in the papers more over in WA. Most reasonable people will try their best give a somewhat balanced view of their own teams performance. I never said you were claiming the Force were world beaters... my beef has just been that almost every week you've looked for a chance to lay the boot into the Tahs regardless of their form, and if that's "OBJECTIVE", then I can only assume that you studied at the Brit Hume school of journalism (either that or you've been hanging out with your buddy Gowden too much). Yeah, you've been trying a bit harder in the post match wash up (and it's appreciated), but don't pretend as though you are objective in your analysis and commentary on the Tahs. This has seriously been the best and most objective post you've written about the Tahs so far, and it's not like I think you've just been a total c***... but you do your fair share of effigy burning and it just starts to give us Tahs fans the shits after a while. We know we're in for a tough match against the Saders, they have a winning culture over they're the most successful team in Super rugby history and they're playing for their outgoing coach. We get it, trust me! Yeah, and you do (I think you mentioned you were one of those bandwagoning soccer fans who follows some EPL side that has no connection with them whatsoever). As for your background, well I have a Swedish and Irish family, so f***ing what, we're a country with a 200 year history and we're made up of immigrants. But hey, I don't mind the kiwis that much. Go for them if it really makes you feel good. Generally speaking it's the supporting of the SA teams against us that gave me the shits... those f***ers treat Aussies teams like **** over there and they're not awfully discriminate about it. At the end of the day I think a lot of us Tahs fans have got the shits because it feels like we've been bagged out by everyone all year and even after making the bloody final it still seems like everyone just wants to watch us fail.
