Don't want to trouble all you Americans who endlessly ask if Setanta is the place to go for Rugby coverage but the main company is about to go under after losing £100 Million a year. ESPN is set to buy up most of the sports rights in Europe while the rights to televise sport in North America and Australia remains uncertain.

    DAMN!!!!!!!!

You beat me to the Punch! Although it's still "business as usual" over here in Sunny Canada regarding Setanta according to their marketing guy.
Which means that we should be able to watch our rugby for the summer anyways.
And if Setanta does go down faster than Lindsay Lohan at the WNBA All-Star Weekend, than Rogers Sportsnet (the other partner in this Setanta Canada relationship) will take over and rename the channel.*

*Results may vary due to level of interest/potential of money-grubbing from Rogers and/or their partners.

    Most importantly...

What is the future for Special 1 TV? What will "It" do for a living now? and who will continue to expose the voyeur?

Setanta "saved" by US investor - aka Russian oligarch/thief/pervert.

So many ways for this to go wrong, and badly.

  6. Agreed Shtove. This has "EPIC FAIL" written all over it.

Setanta has been another onDigital fiasco in the making since day 1.

  9. They would probably have been mmmmkay had they stayed away from the Premier League rights.
