Socialist lowlife condones anarchy

opposition leader wants to talk with people who are protesting against the government? wow, I'm shocked.

I can't believe the government want to raise tuition fees. By the sound of things British students already have to pay oppressive fees as it is. My cousin lives in London and she had to get a bloody loan to pay for hers!

Every student (if they want) can get a loan to pay fees, and (depending on how much they/their parents earn) a loan/grant to pay for rent/books/food/whatever
You don't pay it back like a normal loan either, as, instead of getting a letter through saying "You owe £15k, please pay it back by Xth of the X, 20XX" they add it onto your taxes,
However if your cousin is classed as an international student then she probably would have a normal loan which would suck

Us students are going ballistic here in Ireland because they want to raise the registration fees from like 1500 to 3000... Well i say "us" but I'm in my final year so it makes no difference to me. But that's all we have to pay for a year.

No mention of the fascist who said "the poor would breed" because of (his party's) changes to the child benefit system?

Low-point today!

Nowt quite says someone is deserving of a university education then behaving like a chav on acid.

To be honest this is were armed police should be allowed to come in and pummel the shite out it.

Especially when Prince Charles' car was attacked/the window shattered
Surely an attack on the royal family is reason enough to use "deadly force" or whatever the official term for "shoot-the-f**k-out-of-him"

Gets to the point were we are a country protected by to many laws ... police should have been allowed to step in but we know had they battered the shite out of the girl they would have been in trouble.

It's counted as treason I believe, which is about as heavily punished as the law goes - Wouldn't surprise me if the penalty isn't to be hung, drawn & quartered still.

That would be Radical/Awesome!

This is true, treason is classed as hung drawn and quartered, the only crime which the death penalty can be dished out in the uk

Whoever that is SHOULD be hung, drawn and quartered.

I'm all for these protests, I am even all for surrounding but absolutely NOT touching the Royal car in order to make a point, but this policy of rooting the poor out of university is a scandal and those who may want to go/go back to uni in the future, which means me, have got to stand up against these fascists and continue with these protests until this weak coalition collapses over the issue.

not quite the 70s or 80s, is it... when people had something proper to protest about. i doubt half the students protesting even know the full details anyway. also, a lot's being made of the mounted police charge but from the footage everyone ran the **** away as soon as they saw the horses coming in, no one got touched, and then the protesters started throwind missiles at the police! hardly police brutality like you saw in the 80s.

nonetheless, i'm thoroughly enjoying seeing the coalition having to put up with this. i love how nick clegg's career will be dead at the next election...

It's not quite the equivalent of that twat Thatcher assaulting the coal miners or the unions, but this is a very serious issue. It's going to stop people like me going to uni, it's going to stop my children going to uni, it's going to stop the bright young things I've seen in schools over the last 2 years from going to uni... it's going to cause a brain drain worse than they did in the 1960's with the music industry.

The Daily Mash has it just about right:

'**** this ****'
As angry students demanded the right to help themselves to other people's money, MPs backed an amendment to the government's higher education funding proposals to just scrap the ******* thing.

Business and skills secretary, Vince Cable, said: "I tied myself in knots trying to sort this **** out before finally realising it was all utterly useless anyway. ******** to it."

However the measure was passed with only a slim majority as Labour MPs and many Lib Dems realised that the only people who vote for them these days are students or people who wish they still were.

Professor Henry Brubaker, director of the Institute for Studies and a long time campaigner for the abolition of universities, said: "Hospitals can train doctors, law firms can train lawyers, journalists can be trained by children and sociologists can train themselves by watching television for six hours a day.

"The vast majority of 'careers' are complete bullshit anyway. Sending people to university just means you get pointless, bullshit jobs being done by someone who has spent three years and thirty grand turning themselves into an arse."

He added: "Instead of ******* £7bn a year at it, just give everyone the cash back and let them spend it on bad clothes and small and medium sized electronic items, which - in case you hadn't realised - is the point of the whole ******* system in the first place.

"Does it actually matter if the person who bought the i-prefixed device has a degree from the University of Roehampton? Let's ask Apple, shall we?"

An Apple spokesman said: "No, it doesn't."
