Barbarians squad (team not yet announced):

I think the player getting the most interest on social media at the moment is Ntlabakanye, as Daan Human has been working with him over the last month or so to get him into test shape. He has successfully cut down ~18kg in that time... so now he is a lightweight 140kg instead of the 160kg he has been carrying throughout the URC.

Barbarians team for the weekend released:
Barbarians team - 15 Melvyn Jaminet, 14 Mark Telea, 13 Leicester Fainga'anuku, 12 Peter Umaga-Jensen, 11 Jacob Ratumaitavuki-Kneepkins, 10 Josh Jacomb, 9 Tawera Kerr-Barlow, 8 Shannon Frizell, 7 Sam Cane, 6 Peter O'Mahony (captain), 5 David Ribbans, 4 Ruben van Heerden, 3 Paul Alo-Emile, 2 Camille Chat, 1 Cian Healy.
Replacements: 16 Ricky Ricatelli, 17 Hassane Kolingar, 18 Will Collier, 19 Josh Beehre, 20 Hoskins Sotutu, 21 Santiago Arata, 22 Joe Marchant, 23 Lachlan Boshier.

Kolisi out due to a "small injury". Marco van Staden straight into the starting line-up to replace him and Jesse Kriel takes the captaincy

If you think Healy might score that in a BaaBaas match you ******* let it go.

Staffa commentary about their scrum is particularly insufferable.

Surpised to hear in the build-up up them saying this is the first time the Barbarians have played South Africa in South Africa.

I'm glad Cole isn't playing in this

SA before their series in SA is a awful match up, at least in the end of a campaign international teams are more likely to have fun

Barbarians games work best when the opposition don't treat it like another test game

No-one gained anything from that. SA didn't learn anything they didn't already know and the Baa baas won't be in a hurry to play them again if that's how the Boks are going to approach the fixture. Most of those lads are only out there to sweat out the booze from last night
