However I really don't think he is the same league as SBW. His defense is good (but probably not as good at SBWs), and he certainly isn't as effective at the breakdown. He is a threat on attack with ball in hand, but his distribution has been pretty poor at times: I remember numerous occasions this season when he has chosen to go himself rather than pass to an unmarked man outside. Though he can play 12, I think Ellison is much better suited to 13 (I'd rate him at least equal, if not better than SBW at 13) - if Conrad Smith was out injured now I would definitely look to play Ellison at 13 rather than go for a SBW/Nonu midfield....

[QUOTE="Darwin, post: 510308, member: 24910"] I don't think there is any doubt that Nonu has been the best 12 in the country (and probably the world) over the last 4 or so years, but SBW has performed better this season, and Nonu really needs a break. If both were in top form I would still favour Nonu over SBW, but SBW is certainly improving. As for Ellison being the equivalent of SBW - I can't agree with that. I have been really impressed with Ellison this season (after never really rating him previously) and he thoroughly deserves his AB's call-up.
