So in summary, any of the following group of players can be pulled out of the Currie Cup, until the semi-finals
The contracted Springboks are: Andries Bekker, Bakkies Botha, Heinrich Brüssow, Schalk Burger, Bismarck du Plessis, Fourie du Preez, Jaque Fourie, Bryan Habana, Adrian Jacobs, Ricky Januarie, Tendai Mtawarira, Victor Matfield, Wynand Olivier, Ruan Pienaar, JP Pietersen, Danie Rossouw, John Smit, Juan Smith, Morné Steyn and Pierre Spies.
There are some players that need game time and might not be rested, these are Bakkies Botha, Bismarck, Jacobs, Januarie, JP and possibly Beast.
This is a big blow for the Bulls I think, and if the Griquas play like they did last year the Bulls could miss out on a semifinal spot altogether!
Most of the contracted Sharks need game time, so they won't lose many players to this.
WP will benefit from this to, but the Cheetahs will undoubtedly benefit the most
