So with the Six Nations nearly here, and the teams just announced.

What do you think each teams, strengths and weaknesses are?

England - weaknesses - evidently had the worst performing front row of the top 10 nations last year. Fingers crossed Borthwick will sort this out. But a 35yo Cole shows how poor we are at bringing good props through the system.

Mako and Ben Youngs still in the squad.

12\13 - Still an issue. We need to get it nailed down before the world cup. Daly might be a bolter at 13.

Strengths - Form players picked. Mostly a squad that can\has beaten Ireland and France.

We have the two supposed weakest teams at home first. Then Wales away. Should be 3\3 but it's Gatland in Wales and Scotland who do enjoy beating us at the moment.

Concerns - It's not exactly going to be a Quins - Saints brand of rugby. Can we add attacking flair or will it be ultra conservative.

Good points, any views on the other teams, or just England?

On the 6N rest weekends:

Bath's strengths: 3 Scottish internationals
Bath's weaknesses: A bunch of England rejects
To be fair...
...
erm...

Coka's in decent form, he's just been overtaken by others
Underhill and Stuart are injured
...
...
...
Charlie Ewels...
...
erm...
...
is also injured...

Hill and Lawrence should be with England - probably "just" not in Borthwick's top 5 priorities

Maybe I should have used an emoji. I'm not qualified to comment on your boys although I will be watching a bit more closely after your new no.10 arrives post RWC.

Weaknesses and concerns

Ireland - Have definitely peaked early

Wales - Combined squad age of 892.

France - You just never know, they might go a little French.

Scotland - Lack of communication with 18 different languages spoken in the squad.

Italy - Well by being Italy and told they should have a play off with Georgia every tournament.

England - Realising sacking EJ was a bad idea after losing to Scotland and Wales.

Except that would be entirely par for the recent Jones course:

We only won 1 of the last 4 Calcutta Cup matches under his leadership.

Ignoring that silly COVID Autumn thing, since 2018 we have played Wales 7 times with the home team winning all. This year we’re in Cardiff.

I really don’t know what to expect from Eng. It won’t last, but for now Borthwick has a pretty free pass really.

Wales’ are pretty obvious. Tight head is the biggest weakness but you could say front 5 in general, though I’m happy enough with LH and hooker (though Lake looks like he might be out of the 6N) second row has some promising, young (but inexperienced) talent coming through but have to put that down as a weakness especially when compared to how good Ireland and France are in that area.

Full back also a bit of a weakness if we get any injury to Liam Williams and/or his form isn’t great.
