11 pages of this thread going round and round in circles. Unless people on both sides actually listen to what the other side is saying rather than being in blanket defensive mode, this thread is going nowhere. There are logical arguments being made everywhere but they're not being listened to. I suppose it's just like the actual WRU/RRW talks! It would be good if we could come to some sort of consensus here on what can be compromised on, what are entrenched views etc. It's better than the bickering that's going on at the moment! That'll get us nowhere and another 11 pages of talking in circles attacking posters with other views - just look at some of the above posts for examples of this. For those who dislike the current arrangement, can you list out areas where the Pro 12 can improve? Just short statements are needed rather than long paragraphs - we've had enough of that from everywhere already. I can see two which are recurring themes here: 1. Weakened squads taking the field. 2. Lack of crowd interest. For those who would like to see the current arrangement stand, why is this. Some of the views expressed so far: 1. PRL's grandstanding can't be allowed and accepting their deal is as good as supporting them. 2. If there's no Europe, dissolving the Pro 12 via an Anglo-Welsh League will harm pro rugby in Scotland, Italy and Ireland possibly beyond repair. For now if we just forward our own points of view rather than attacking others, it'll be better for civilized discussion.
