TV Figures

Always been this way - club rugby is horribly promoted in this country.*

*and by horribly, I mean it isn't.

How badly does union in England suffer due Premiership times conflicting with local leagues?

I was actually thinking that's not that bad.

Two games one prime time getting way over 100,000.

The rugby tonight show is getting 34,000.

It's not ideal.

BT Sports televised games are Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon. So people going out on the Friday can't watch, people playing on a Saturday can't watch, and people involved in age-grade rugby on a Sunday can't watch.
Super League have a Thursday night televised game which will bring in a lot more casual viewers.

Would be interesting to see what the figures are for the premiershiprugby.tv site, as with all games available online within a day or two, it doesn't really matter as much if you miss the game.

I am hoping that BT can change that with their slow creep into homes via Broadband and freeview.
