Got a mate that uses these a cheap alternative to protein shakes. I told him I didnt think they would do any good.
I personally dont use any kind of shakes as I only play reserve grade and I'm not that bothered about being ripped.
Are these kinds of drink a valuable substitution for a proper protein shake. I'd love to prove him wrong
 
That said they will provide a bit off help when it comes to healing the muscles, but they won't really do much in the way of building them.

Any shake designed for muscle building needs to have a high concentration of protein. Even at that, I personally don't beleive it's an exact science like the body building industry (the ones selling all the supplements, even to sports stars) say. All of our bodies work differently. Getting a large amount of protein is neccessarry to bulk up your muscles when weight training. There are so many products on the market that have pretty exagerated claims. I would stick to simple Whey Protein.

Check that site out...bulk whey for cheap! They'll f_ckin' ship you a barrel of protein for pennies.

I'm not knocking their site, I've just never seen it sold that cheap in that quantity...worth checking it out.
