Godzilla: King of the Monsters... strange film! On one hand it's a lot better than the last one with Scarlet Witch and Quick Silver but on the other hand it's still garbage (but garbage where the creatives at least went 'balls-out').

It's fun.
'Critics' will hate it, as there's no 'underlying message of love and rainbows'.(Or any real effort to actually develop characters or a storyline)
Normal people will, however, enjoy giant monsters kicking the sh*t out of each other.

It's strange as I generally love genre-entertainment (super-hero, fantasy, sci-fi etc) but for some reason kaiju movies have never done it for me... having said that, this was the closest I've been to enjoying one.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a post anywhere that I've identified with more, which is weird, but I agree fully with everything you've said.

So DC's last outing as Bond has been confirmed as "No time to die."

I have been re-watching the Matrix movies this week. Even though they are 20 years old they are quality in terms of appearance etc. Seriously forgot how awesome they are.

The first movie is up there as one of the all time fav's. There are parts of the 2nd and 3rd I enjoy, but I can never forget the disapointment I felt leaving the cinema on both occasions.

They should have left it at the first one IMO. That was the only great one of the 3.

Surprise, surprise; they're making a 4th.

we were just talking about this at work, wondering if they can come up with a story that can...ignore's not the right word...but mean you could skip from 1 to 4 without loosing too much...kind of like how you dont have to watch episode 1 of star wars...there's no one an any of the later films that isn't introduced again, and midaclorians are never mentioned again...

I introduced the step-daughter to the first one the other day and it completely blew her mind (So much so that she is even confused as to whether she enjoyed it or not)...

The original is imho the greatest superhero origin movie ever made...I also love the second one (the highway chase is another level), the third one is boring though.

The ***le kinda reminds me of Die another day, which was without doubt the worst Bond film to date.
It's a pretty clunky ***le, sounds like the ***le of a 14-year-old's "screenplay" to be honest ...

I'm not really invested in Bond anyway, don't think I've seen one since pre-Daniel Craig

loved Casino Royale. That is the best DC bond so far imo. A friend from long ago is in Skyfall. I liked that but not as much as Casino Royale, but it's grown on me over the years, He's the chinese fella who hands DC the suitcase full of chips at the Macau casino.:) he also got a smaller part as a henchman in Spectre. Spectre was a big meh and the ending spoiled it for me.

What Skyfall and Casino Royale had going for them is they were singular stories (although the end of Royale suggests larger things afoot and they linked in Skyfall in Spectre). That's where Bond excels each film being a sequel to one another and it falls flat on its face as what happened with QoS and Spectre. Character's popping up yes but each films villain and main plot should be standalone.
