What is the lowest weight a professional rugby player should have to play at the highest level?
The least amount of muscle mass with which a professional rugby player can play in the rugby's highest level?
I was talking with a friend, and seeing the different weights of professional rugby players smaller we conclude that a professional rugby player stature of 1.65 m (5.4134 ft) to 1.70 m (5.5774 ft) can't weigh less than 80 kg (176.37 lb). For example:
Shane Williams (Wales - former player)
Height 1.70 m (5 ft 7 in)
Weight 80 kg (176 lb)
Morgan Parra (France - Clermont)
Height 1.80 m (5 ft 11 in)
Weight 77 kg (12 st 2 lb)
Aaron Smith (New Zealand - Highlanders)
Height 1.69 m (5 ft 7 in)
Weight 82 kg (12 st 13 lb)
Gonzalo Camacho (Argentina - Leicester Tigers)
Height 1.73 m (5 ft 8 in)
Weight 85 kg (13 st 5 lb)
What do you think? For a scrum half (which is usually the smallest player in professional rugby) if you have a height less than 1.70 m (5.5774 ft) must necessarily weigh 80 kg (176.37 lb) or more, to withstand the hard knocks of professional rugby. It's my opinion
