Richie McCaw has been at the top of his game for so long now, and In My Opinion he wont play another season as a few on this thread have wished
He deserves a long and happy retirement from the game

You know what I wouldn't be surprised if he did end up carrying on playing. Only injury atm would force him into retirement because looking at the ruck stats posted by Forcefan on the G&GR site he still topped the ruck stats in the final and semi. If he did carry on though for the ABs I can only see him being a bench option, who can cover 6,7 and 8 and starting only if Kaino, Cane and Read were unavailable. Read looks like he would still be captain.

He'll also only be 36 when the Lions tour NZ in 2017, no different to when Dallaglio played in the 2007 RWC, Brad Thorn in 2011; Easter and Matfield were older in this RWC.
