  3. Super signing, hope this doesn't mean Lawes will be playing more rugby in the back row.

This seems a pretty good move for Worcester. Looking forward to seeing how he fits in with their squad.

I was told in a Limerick pub about this on Saturday. Supposedly he was ****** and twittered it at 1am!

Great signing for Wuss, he's been playing some great rugby this year.
  6. Great signing for Worcester but I can't help but feel it's a step down for Best. Northampton are showing huge ambition to become one of the leading clubs in Europe whereas Worcester is, in comparison, a rugby backwater.

yeah but he's not getting his game at Saints, at least with Worcester he should be expecting to start week in week out which is what he needs at this stage of his career.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ i agree. he needs to be at a club where he can be guaranteed first-team rugby week in week out at this stage in a career, which i believe is a similar situation to dwayne peel.

He's started 12 and come off the bench in 6 games this season. 5 of those starts were in the Heineken Cup. Some of the Saints fans could probably say with more certainty than I whether or not he's still likely to be first choice but those stats indicate that he is.

Looking at it coldly, I'd say the move is about money more than Best being frustrated at Northampton. Worcester are losing Chris Latham and should have a lot of spare cash flying around.

He's been used in rotation this year, mostly at seven then up the blind channel, but he's not a patch on Dowson in the 6 shirt. With Woood coming in, it looks like Mallender is aiming to have specialists, Wilson being the 1st choice 8 and Easter more then likely to step up.

Now Wigglesworth has gone, Peel is pretty much guarenteed first XV every week

But yeah, deffinatley a good signing for Worcester,
Best and Sanderson could be a good set of flankers for Worcester, i still rate Sanderson on his day despite running his mouth off to the press all the time :p

Forgot how old he is. Getting on, needs the moolah.

    Let them blind/stamp/decapitate Ferris instead.
