just reading through and realised i'd written maroni when i meant moyano. then i started thinking about it and, although moyano was great in attack, i'm not convinced his defence or handling was good enough. so i'll change that one to may, ione can stay on the bench for impact.

and i meant nakarawa not macarewa (close enough right?)

interestingly, looking at other people's posts they all seem valid. i think that is credit to the healthy state of tier 1 rugby at the moment. the selections others made that i most disagree with is Marx, as i feel his throwing was really bad and had big impacts on games. i'm sure that's why he's in people's reserves rather than starting, but still. to be fair, hooker was the hardest position to find world class players this year.

Watched it as well; he was involved in setting up or scoring just about every try we scored. Comfortably England's player of the year IMO.

Furlong, as the only player picked by all to start, is the captain. vice captain sexton.
I had to make a few tricky calls, e.g. the back reserves - barret was represented in people's 23s 4 times, compared to stockade, b.smith and j.davies three times, but barret was a starter once, davies and stockdale thrice and smith twice, and given farrell is at 12 and can play 10, while stockdale is not versatile, it made more sense for the balance of the reserves to have davies and smith.

23 includes 8 irish, 5 springboks, 4 all blacks, 3 english, 1 wallaby, 1 welsh, 1 fijian,
