Do you guys think we might see any debut's, or do you think we will still see players out of position, as well as dead weight in the team to face New Zealand at soccer City on the 21st? This test is make or break for us. This would be my best 22 to field:

15. Francois Steyn - Swallow your pride PdV. We need an 'X-factor'
14. JP Peterson - Has looked very good in the Currie Cup so far, and Habana has his mind somewhere else.
13. Juan de Jongh - With Fourie being suspended, de Jongh needs to start here.
12. Patrick Lambie - Why not? Has Super 14 experience, and thrives as a playmaker. The sooner he gets in, the better.
11. Gio Aplon - Needs to play, and loves to play. Speed, guts and one hell of a step. He must start.
10. Morne Steyn - Has been very off, but he is still the best 10 we have.

9. Francois Hougaard - Needs to play, and loves to play. Speed, guts and strength. He must start.

8. Ryan Kankowski - Looks great in the Currie Cup, and Spies needs a wake up call. Kanko is our best bet.
7. Juan Smith - We need him back. Badly.
6. Francois Louw - We need a fetcher, and with Brussouw out, he is the best we have.
5. Victor Matfield - The break would have done him well. He will be our best bet at line-out time.
4. Danie Rossouw - Hard man, and does the yards. It's a tough one between him and Flip vd Merwe.
3. CJ van der Linde - Solid in the scrums, and good on defence
2. John Smit - Will be fired up playing his 100th test.
1. Gurthro Steenkamp - Brilliant defensive prop, and has done well at scrum time.

16. Bismark du Plessis - He will be ready, and can come on at 2 with Smit moving to prop if we are doing well
17. Schalk Burger - He can come on if we are struggling with defense. Has played well so far.
18. Pierre Spies - Can also come on to perhaps spark something if he is on his game.
19. Bryan Habana - Meh, but he can still produce if the pack are dominant.
20. Ruan Pienaar - Cover for 9, 10 and 15 if need be.
21. Wynand Olivier - Has been really off, but can cover 12 and 13 if needed.
22. Flip vd Merwe - Cover for lock, and has been good in the Currie Cup.

Possible other players that we could see are Bjorn Basson, who has looked very good. Gerhard vd Heever might also be an outside shot. Jean Deysel could get a chance, as well as Dewaldt Potgieter.

What do you guys reckon? This looks like the best squad we could field in my opinion. Either way, it's a must win. No two ways about it.

Looks like a very tough team to beat. not sure if youre allowed only one front row replacement though

Well, apparently Ruan Pienaar is out for a month, so i would then replace him with Beast. No idea who to take out to cover scrum-half though. :/

I'd quite like to see Schalk Brits play. It won't happen, but I'd like to see it.

1 Guthro Steenkamp
2 Bismarck du Plessis
3 Brok Harris (solid in the scrums and massive work rate)
4 Danie Rossouw (Bakkies when free; still has tons to offer SA rugby but needs to start playing rugby and ditch the off-the-ball-****)
5 Victor Matfield (c)
6 Francois Louw (deserves another chance and some support at the rucks)(Anybody know when we can expect brussouw back?)
7 Juan Smith
8 Schalk Burger (good link with the backs and a good all round player)
9 Dewald Duvenhage (the closest player to FdP ITO service and kicking. what he lacks in FdP's reading he makes up for in defense.)
10 Morne Steyn
11 JP Pietersen
12 Francois Steyn (with de Fourie suspended de Jongh should play 13. we miss his boot)
13 Juan de Jongh (to move to the bench when Fourie gets cleared)
14 Gerhard v/d Heever
15 Pat Lambie (get the youngster into the squad! has shown he has the composure)(the next guy to break into the test scene ala Brussouw and Steyn during the Lions tour)

16 Tiaan Liebenberg
17 CJ van der Linde
18 Steven Sykes (while Bakkies and Bekker are unavailable)
19 Duane Vermeulen
20 Francois Hougaard
21 Peter Grant
22 Gio Aplon (Hougaard can cover 9)

Cut the fat in Januarie, Smit and the sub par Kirschner and Olivier. Habana and Spies to go do some homework off the bench is the CC. Jean de Villiers and Habana just puts the defense under too much pressure going for intercepts even when the opposition have quality ball.

Would have to make room when Bakkies, Bekker, Brussouw, du Preez, Fourie and Jannie du Plessis comes back to the fold. My eventual squad of 30 players for RWC:

Steenkamp / van der Linde / Harris / J du Plessis / B du Plessis / T Liebenberg / G Botha / B Botha / Matfield / Bekker / Rossouw / Brussouw / Burger / Smith / Vermeulen / Deysel

du Preez / Duvenhage / Pienaar / M Steyn / Grant / Lambie / F Steyn / Fourie / de Jongh / Hougaard / Habana / Pietersen / v/d Heever / Aplon

Schalk Burger would be one of the 1st names I'd write down. Every team needs a warrior.

Geez when I look at those names it's hard to see the Springboks losing at home or at all. Jer1cho and stormer you's both have exciting teams, no doubt. I have to admit their are some names Ive not heard of but that makes it more interesting to see these new guys. Talent all over..

There's not a single regular blindside in the top 10 nations who wouldn't currently play Burger off the park.

Besides, the S14 vs Tri-Nations has already shown that neither have any impact on the other.

15. Conrad Jantjies (If not fit/firing, then Kirchner)
14. J. P Pietersen
13. Juan de Jongh
12. Jean de Villiers
11. Bryan Habana
10. Morne Steyn
9. Francious Hougaard (sp.)
8. Ryan Kankowski
7. Juan Smith
6. Schalk Burger
5. Victor Matfield
4. Dannie Roussouw
3. Brok Harris/ Wicus Blaauw (I can never seem to distinguish between the two, I am always muddle up which one plays tighthead)
2. John Smit
1. Guthro Steenkamp/ Beast Mtwarira (depending on who is on the best form)

22. Pat Lambie (I think it would be better to ease a young player into test rugby as opposed to chucking, if (when) he plays well, then he should start the next few tests)
21. Gio Aplon
20. Dewald Duvenange/ Jano Vermaak (depending on form/strategy)
19. Francious Louw
18. Flip van de Merwe
17. CJ van de Linde (He can cover both sides of the scrum better than any other player available, IMO)
16. Bismarck du Plessis/ Gary Botha (once again depending who is on form)

Easy to notice, no NH based players
Lambie and Aplon should be swapped around

Who needs to throw when you can run at 100mph? :p

Almost a fair shout, but once somebody knocks the ball on you need a scrum!

Plus, people have been getting pinged a lot recently for hanging around offside...

Well when the All Blacks beat the Wallabies again this weekend, meaning they win the 3Nations, I would pick this team which will be mainly based on combinations and form.

1.Beast Mtwarira - We already know what we have Gurthro, and we need to see if the Beast still has it...
2.Gary Botha - Should have been selected more often at International level ahead of his 2 Bulls hooker friends<_<
3.Werner Kruger - Test this guy at International level and see if he makes or breaks it, SA is a bit short of tightheads!
4.Danie Rossouw - Hopefully he has sorted his discipline and temper out in this off-time and will play like we all know how how can.
5.Victor Matfield (c) - With Bekker out injured and the fact that we don't have many other line-out specialists, Matfield needs to find his form again, SOON!!!
6.Francois Louw - He is super in defence and will steal at least 3 balls per game!
7.Dewald Potgieter - This guy is a workhorse and won't stand back for anything or anyone!
8.Ryan Kankowski - Looks full of running and with Spies off-form, he's the natural replacement.

9.Francois Hougaard - This guy irritates the **** out of me with his "windgat" attitude, but he is a f**king great rugby player:D
10.Morne Steyn - With Pienaar out injured and Peter Grant in Japan, Steyn is our only "quality" option at the moment.
11.Jongi Nokwe - Gheez he scored 4 tries against the Wallabies back in 2008 and then just disappeared off the scene, I say get him back!
12.Wynand Olivier - I'm only starting him because of the combo with Morne Steyn.
13.Juan de Jongh - One of SA's best line-breakers at the moment, he needs to be there.
14.JP Peterson - World Cup winner, need I say more?He is having a superb CC so far!
15.Patrick Lambie - He's only 19 or something but has the head of a veteran on his shoulders and he can kick!

16.Tiaan Liebenberg - He's always given 120% and I think its time he gets rewarded!
17.CJ van der Linde - Can scrum on both sides and gets around the park.
18.Flip vd Merwe - Young, hard and tough guy, plus we don't have many other options...
19.Schalk Burger - Who wouldn't want to have this guy on their bench?
20.Jano Vermaak - I would have chosen Kockott, but I think he is injured or something.
21.Willem de Waal - This guy is probably the best kicking fly-half never to have played for the Springboks yet and he will win you close matches, he proved that last year playing for the Emerging Boks against the B&I Lions.
22.Gio Aplon - Small guy with a huge rugby heart, he won't let you down!

Schalk Burger would be one of the 1st names I'd write down. Every team needs a warrior.

A warrior does not poke somebody in the eyes ....thats what cowards do....

a warrior would be a player of the same mould as Sebastien Chabal , David Wallace ,Jerry Collins ..all tough imposing brave and hardworking..they hit their oppontents straight up man on man...however the "Warrior " Burger is more fond of feeling the oppositions retinas than actually doing things like a man.

15. Francois Steyn - This guy can put one over from over 60 meters, he is must in a kicking oriented team.
14. JP Pietersen - He has shown tremendous form in the Currie Cup.
13. Wynand Olivier (Jaque Fourie is Suspended) - Very strong on defense and can find the gap while attacking.
12. Juan De Jong - Very strong in the tackle and is a must in this team.
11. Bryan Habana - What can I say he is human rocket, a great kicker and a very good defender, definitely deserves his place.
10. Morne Steyn - As we all know he is an incredible place kicker and tactical kicker.
9. Francois Hougaard - Many people under estimate him, in my opinion he is the best scrum half in South Africa after Du Preez.
8. Pierre Spies - This guy is fast, extremely strong and may not be in form right now but I have a feeling that when the Springboks return for the home leg of the tournament he will improve a lot.
7. Francois Louw - Along with Spies not really in form but we all know he has it in him, he had an incredible Super 14.
6. Schalk Burger - The warrior of the pack..... thats all I can say.
5. Victor Matfield - In my opinion the best lock in the world.
4. Danie Rossouw - Knows how to beat the first man, run right into him.
3. Gurthro Steenkamp - Same kind of style as Rossouw, exactly what the Springboks need.
2. Bismark Du Plessis - By far the best #2 in South Africa, that is if he is fit to play. Smit has got to go.
1. Tendai "Beast" Mtawarira - Great scrumagger, very strong, CJ is an insult compared to him.

16. Ruan Pienaar - Can play every position in the back except centre.
17. Jean De Villiers - Every team needs an experienced player, well Jean is experienced and has class.
18. Juan Smith - A little out of form but still one of the best flanks in South Africa.
19. Dewald Potgieter - Can cover 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 and is playing well.
20. Gary Botha - The second best #2 in South Africa
21. Coenie Oosthuizen - Watch the Cheetahs Blue Bulls Currie Cup game and you will see what I am talking about.
22. Gio Aplon - Some how he just slips through tackles and is extremely fast
