If Powell goes then Gaskell will play 6, Easter 8 - Joe Ward will start hooker, with Marc Jones on the bench, and Neil Briggs covering backrow from the bench

So Powell's not making the Welsh squad for you, Olyy?

Ospreys

looks a pretty rubbish team tbh, but hopefully we'll have a few more signings to bolster the squad up, preferably a 6 or 7, Keegan Daniel/Tanerau Latimer/George Whitelock would be nice and could perhaps fit the Ospreys budget

Scott Williams, Gareth Maule, Lou Reed, Rhys Thomas? Hooker would be Rhys Lawrence and failing that would probably see Craig Hawkins.

Sale Sharks:
19. James Gaskell

I know you don't rate Gaskell as a back row, but considering he's in the England Saxons squad as a flanker and was made captain at the start of the season, I think many coaches highly rate him so I would presume he would start ahead of Easter

I agree that Powelly will not go though

Rhys Lawrence is at Bristol now though Cymro, but I can't see Scott Williams, Gareth Maule, Lou Reed, Rob McCusker, Rhys Thomas all called up to the World Cup.

Only Reed will make it, but if whether Gatland wants to pick an extra back row and have Jonathan Thomas or Ryan Jones covering lock then he won't

Maule and Thomas are way out of the equation for the WC

From that Leinster team, I hope Nacewa plays in the WC for Fiji

Those back-row options you mentioned - are they actually rumours/legitimate targets or just errant fancy?

5. Gerhard Mostert
6. Jacques Botes
7. Jean Deysel

unfortunately the latter, I haven't heard any rumours of any replacement for Holah, Byrne, Hook. I would also like to think we're going sign a replacement for Collins but unfortunately I think we've replaced him with Stowers which I think is a drop off

Muliaina was the only rumour I've heard but that was ages ago

Cmac haven't a few players you mentioned there possibly won't be available. Kearney possibly to Munster, Berne possibly released and McLaughlin will possibly go to NZ.

As for Munster Id go with:
1. Horan
2. Sherry/Varley
3. Archer/Borlaise
4. Micko
5. Nagle
6. O'Mahony
7. Ronan/O'Donnell
8. Coughlan
9. Murray
10. Keatley
11. Zebo
12. Mafi
13. Barnes
14. Howlett
15. J. Murphy

16. Varley/Sherry
17. Du Preez/Horan
18. Borlaise/Archer
19. D. Foley
20. O'Donnell/Ronan
21. Williams
22. Hurley
23. D. Kearney if he signs but few other choices too.

At 1 I said Horan it's meant to be Horan/Du Preez

Players I expect to go World Cup.
Fla, Paulie, DOC, D. Ryan (maybe), Wallace, Leamy, ROG, Earls, Stringer, TOL and Jones

Scott Williams, Gareth Maule, Lou Reed, Rhys Thomas? Hooker would be Rhys Lawrence and failing that would probably see Craig Hawkins.
Deadly....I hear Leinster are inquiring about signing Nick Cave as back up for the RWC

I wonder how it feels to be a famous person ...but have the same name as someone who is more famous...

Oh. I hadn't heard about Kearney going to Munster, how likely is that? I'd heard about Berne being realeased but I don't think they'll do it on a world cup year when they need as much players possible. And I don't think mcLoughlan will go to RWC and if he does I'd think Jennings would be dropped so they would just shuffle it around slightly.

True,
I was thinking more that there's no locks left with Ostrikov and Lewaravu at the WC, so we'd need him to cover lock, though I suppose he could cover from the field, moving to the second row with Easter coming on for the replaced lock

Kearney coming here is a possibility as we are short but nothing finalized yet.
But Berne decision will be made by PAG as opposed to Leinster so it possible due to him being injured etc and the having plenty of backs that he will be released and Jennings will go RWC maybe and it seems Ryan and McLaughlin are battling for a spot of covering Lock and 6
