Champions Cup 20/21 - Round of 16

Both teams didn't really play it like a cup game, threw the ball around probably too much.
Not sure Wasps had an alternative to be fair, they probably had to go for it, didn't look capable of winning an arm wrestle and would probably have won if they were more clinical.

Clermont could definitely have benefited from trying to force it less.

Rugby purists will be happy to know there's no fear of us trying to force it in 15 minutes.

Good to see you support teams belonging to other country’s over your own.

Eh, that has never been my mentality to club sports.
I support teams who I like.
I have no real ties to other clubs in the premiership outside of being born in that country to me it doesn't make sense to support them on that.

Maybe if the Premiership had 4 or 5 teams I would be a bit more nationalist with it (Or if it was all centralised) but there is no way I could support 12 teams over other countries teams just because I was born here.

(I'll also put it this way I would rather Tigers won the champions cup than England win the 6N's, so why would I care too much over other premiership teams outside of shoving it in the Irish posters faces ;) )

Well if your a club before country chap then I suppose you will have different views entirely.

Who isn't, tbf

Most English sides I'm indifferent to and just want to see a good game - there's a couple I actively want to lose, and a couple (outside of Sale) I actively want to win

I support Sale and England, not the Premiership and England

The club-country thing is interesting, obviously anyone who actively supports club rugby is very much on the passionate end of the rugby fandom scale. As far as I can tell most club fans would take being European Champions over their country winning a non-slam 6N.

Munster's incessant kicking would make much more sense if POM was fit? As it stands it doesn't look like they're posing any threat to the Toulouse lineouts in the 22.

Way better, great to see Carbery calling to start that from inside the 22. Some players still looking to go route one a bit too often but much better.

For all of Toulouse's good play, they only have 6 points. Munster may not be playing pretty, but they are in the lead.
