URC 24/25: Quarter finals

Saw the replay on Reddit of the cramp. Looking at his calf, I do think there was cramping because that thing does not look normal. That being said he milked it for everything he could plus a wink

Man sprinted onto the pitch at the final whistle. Easily could have walked off and got seen to if he was hurt. He's a rat and it will be remembered

I read this as stating winner of SF1, Glasgow and Leinster have gone advantage for the final.
Oh, they might have changed it in that case. I was going off last year.

Bad system if that's right. No real reward from a top 4 finish outside 1st.

Should have been dragged out of the way if it was only cramp. And dragged by his damn hair after that wink.

I just looked into it, still looks like it’s the old approach of the top ranked team:

Four cities remain in contention to host the United Rugby Championship Grand Final on Saturday, June 14 — Dublin, Pretoria, Glasgow and Durban*.

*DHL Stormers (5), Munster (6) and Edinburgh (7) could all host if they are the highest-ranked team in the Grand Final.

Does anyone have the whole sequence from Hendrikse's kick to Crowley kicking up a fuss?

Don't think there's much of an argument but would love to watch.

All it was, was Hendrikse rolling about on the floor and 2 or 3 medical running on "to help". Crowley whinged it was putting him off. Ref said to Crowley "Don't worry I'll give you all the time you need". End of event after about 3-5 minutes

That’s not what happened. Crowley was completely ignoring it and was saying I’m not bothered and getting ready to kick his shot. But Adamson forced him to stop given what was happening behind him and said what you’ve written there.

So he definitely cramped, you can see it in his calf, not moving out of the way was opportunistic and the wink pure shithousery.

I read yesterday that the coach Crowley went at after shouted during his kick, not sure if there's truth in it but pretty unacceptable and if I'm not mistaken, a re-take had he missed.

Adamson is a spineless excuse of a ref though, he should have let Crowley go with Hendrikse there when he was comfortable doing so. And before that he should have just cleared them out straight away, no reason someone cramping can't be moved 5m.

Another point I found interesting was that Crowley left the ball where it was after he wasn't allowed to take it the first time. I was saying that he should pick it off the tee and start again, placing the ball is as much a part of the routine as anything else.

All of it is irrelevant considering he made the kick, albeit unconvincingly, but man I love the drama, would watch a shootout every week if I could!

Yeah, I stand corrected, I rewatched it later, you're right.
