ITV in the UK haven't renewed their rights for the 2027 World Cup and if they fear the England team will be a decimated B team will they bother. Only the final has to be on FTA TV.

Soooooo.... the top 300 players worldwide are going to be bought out of their contracts, they'll somehow do the same with all the necessary support staff and coaches, find stadiums to play games in and make it a marketable league after alienating most of the potential fans. And all that will cost about a billion quid to get started.

Where would they even base it? The travel costs (financially, and medically in player terms) would be ludicrous.

But in 2028 the top 300 players won't be the same players (largely) as the top 300 of 2025, whose contracts expire in 2028

That's my point - they'll have to pay for those and the top players aren't going to come cheap

And their plans for international windows means every league will have to move. Leagues won't so countries will try and just ignore switchers until financial issues (Caused by declining quality and money if too many big names are not in the international game anymore).

I doubt the money is available. Negotiations for the Premier League and the Six Nations are a debacle as it is, less said about Wales at the moment the better, SA players are usually abroad, NZ is sounding weak and the only country that might be making money is France

I wouldn't go into disaster mode just yet man, weirder things have happened but I'd be astonished if they get this off the ground. In two years or so there'll be a slew of litigation for lost investment.
