3rd test - Australia v British & Irish Lions

Thought the ref was poor again. That is now his last three games where he was poor. Although his performance for Saints Vs Bordeaux was special 🤪

Not sure how a tackle that initially starts at the shoulder and then makes head contact is deemed legal at any level these days. He bottled it imo

If Skelton had featured in the first test and it wasn't uncommon to give player of the series to the losing side he'd have had a great shot at winning it, can't think of anyone across those two tests that had his influence.

Him making meters with men hanging off his limbs was quite a sight - almost superhero like. Look forward to seeing him v Etzebeth next week.

I’d forgotten all about that and with a few games under his belt and another training weak, he could be even better, trouble is for Aus their weakness is probably the bench opposite to SA, if any teams going to truly capitalise on the last 20 with ridiculous bench impact it’s then.

And the shitest Wallabies team ever. Tbf they just don't have the depth and finishers. Certainly not a vintage wallabies like the team of 2001. But they ended this the same as 2013 in terms of score and not totally embarrassed. Last one ended up the RWC final and next RWC is in Aus.
Obviously not as shite as you think they are

I am not saying they are. I am saying that is what they are accused of to downgrade the “achievement” of the Lions. End of the day the Lions can only beat what is in front of them.

A lions series win is not to be sniffed at. It hardly happens because it’s so hard to get players from 4 nations to form a great team in such a short period of time.

And fans and pundits are not easily pleased even after a series win.

Based on just the tests is say around 7.5/10 or 8/10.

Are just the tests the entire tour?

Also, how many 7s get subbed with props while blowing out their arse on 55 mins?

For the record id give Curry a 6 overall, 6.5 over the first 2 tests, 5 today.

He's a top quality player, who isnt fit, and only produced 75% of what he's capable of, he played poorly by his standards for sale last 3 games, was poor by his standards on tour in general, and today was poor by any standards.

Sigh.

Obviously Farrell wanted to use the bench because Morgan is a fine player and it makes sense to get someone fresh on the pitch. Farrell preferring to take Curry off rather than Beirne doesn't mean Curry played poorly.

Sheehan and Genge were the only 9/10 players the entire tour.

Agree they were both very good, Genge especially was treated poorly, he was MOTM test 1...

But Itoje was near flawless on tour, ive always rated him highly, but questioned his leadership. I was wrong. He was unreal, and it showed when he went off, Sheehans lineout stats nose dived after he went off today.

I also think Beirne had an average pre test tour, along with Conan, VDF. But Beirne was a test animal in all 3, I think he played every second of the tests, and even today was the best forward on the park.

Curry went off all 3 tests, and visibly was in pain every time. He didnt perform pre tests...

Test 1 56 mins
Test 2 55 mins
Test 3 68 mins (with a 45 min half time).

He isnt fit, he's lasting as long as tight head props, as an openside.

You can sigh, and complain, but his performances speak for themselves.

Also Curry was subbed off for Earl first test, Morgan second, and Earl again 3rd test. All 3 were due to fatigue

And in those minutes he played extremely well.

By your own logic Morgan has a poor test series because Farrell thought he could manage fewer minutes than Curry, hence placing him on the bench and not the starting XV.
