England vs Australia - 01/11/25

Totally hypothetical question.

Could someone name a team in Tuesday (like England this week), use that to psych the opposition selection and then change the selection, as long as it adheres to the 48 hour rule?

I can't find anything to say you can't.

I know late changes can only occur for injuries or special circumstances, think Kyle Rowe when his baby was born.

A lot of great players in this English side, the quality of those on the bench and the ones that missed out on the 23 is scary. If England get their strategy right we could be in for a long day. But I'm still not convinced with Borthwick. I've seen them play this 10 man rugby that just doesn't do much. Box kick after box kick, hoping the opposition drop it *they don't) and all it does is give away hard fought possession. When they've played a high tempo open rugby they've been phenomenal. Nothing wrong with kicking, but it needs to be effective and it needs to be be something that is not the primary strategy.

Been forced to buy TNT sports for this autumn nation series FML, ive never had it before i hope the set up isnt trash!!!!

Looking forward to this one, Aus seem a little underpowered off the bench, and where is Ikitau Hooper and JOC, are they not released because of the window?

JOC will hurt, he made so much more of a difference on his return to the team.

I had TNT and only stopped subscribing when I changed my broadband away from BT which made it much more expensive.

I subscribed to a Discovery+ monthly sub yesterday with the intention of cancelling it today so I only have it for the 4wks I need it for.

How do you watch the prem? I just get discovery plus sport through my phone contract.

Same

Didn't realise how expensive it is regularly, I was gonna change my contract to a cheaper SIM only but didn't realise it's £31 for TNT sport, I'd only save £10 a month on my contract so be down £20 a month

Exactly what I did this morning. Then the Mrs announced "Don't forget we're going to see my brother at 2" **** my life.

Thats my plan, £31 and cancel it tomorrow so only have it for the month, theres some decent champions league games next week too, Bayern v PSG will be big in our house, missus in her Bayern shirt, me and the kids in our 1860 hahahaha

Outside of November £31 for niche sports and the odd football game is a waste.

Divorce!!!!

Ive been running around manic all morning, brekky in bed for everyone, run the dog, glossed a few doors, and pre made lunch and dinner with the view of sitting down with snacks from 2pm...

Cheeky mare just cqme and dumped the baby on me so she could have a quick shower, at 10 to kick off, so rude hahah

Ehhhhh, Ford vs Argentina looked significantly better than Smith vs Dirt track sides
Tbh I'm surprised FS isn't starting, and do think he deserves to, but it's not a travesty that Ford is - a common thing said about Ford for England is that if he's in the side he should be starting not on the bench, and there he is. I feel better about 10. Ford, 23. F.Smith than I would about 10. F.Smith 23. M.Smith and M.Smith coming on at 15, cause that's the inevitable other option

It is weird that some people can only elevate one player by denigrating their rivals - there's a Bristol fan on Reddit who criticises literally everything Roebuck does just because a few seasons ago it was Roebuck vs Ibitoye for an England spot and Roebuck won it,
He's like that Japanese soldier still fighting the war decades later
Really that’s mad, I’m not sure who I prefer out of Roebuck and Freeman, for me they are both powerful solid all around wingers great aerially, potentially lacking a little pace but by no means slow, both seem to read the game and have descent rugby brains, Ibitoye is a fine player when on form but like lots of Bristol likes to go off script when things aren’t working and try to fix it all on his own, nowhere near as rounded, there just isn’t any justification I can give of how anyone with any understanding of the game could make to pick him ahead of Roebuck.

Don’t get all the dislike with Freeman at 13, if he has any kind of future there he needs to play, if there is one thing that should have been learned it’s that you can’t rely on a single player to carry your backline in the power steak Manu anyone? Lawrence has a bit of an injury history, if he’s fit he probably plays in the high stakes games, still no stand out 12 nailed on, Ijomo shaping up nicely, all in all these are the types of games you experiment in, 6 nations is important and I wouldn’t want it to be too experimental.
